How to Search for Medication Prices

TransparentMedz makes it easy to find and compare prescription drug prices across Canadian pharmacies. Follow these steps to get started.

Using the Search Bar

Navigate to the home page or click the search icon in the top navigation. You can search by:

• Brand name (e.g., Lipitor, Synthroid)

• Generic name (e.g., atorvastatin, levothyroxine)

• DIN number (Drug Identification Number)

• Active ingredient

Refining Your Results

After searching, use the filters on the left sidebar to narrow results by dosage strength, quantity, pharmacy distance, and whether generic alternatives are available.

Viewing Price Details

Click on any medication result to see a detailed price comparison table showing prices from all pharmacies in your area, including both brand name and generic options.

Saving Your Search

Sign in to your account to save searches and quickly access them later. You can also set up price alerts directly from the search results page.
